Meet Dr. Kalei Wilson
So, truly I just enjoy knowing that I get to spend every day helping people, caring for everyone who steps through the door, and just really getting to also meet everyone in the community and figure out, you know, what they want, what they need, what they care for, what they don’t, and just really catering to them overall and hopefully, improving their day at least just a little bit before they leave. And I got into dentistry because I always had a love for science, but I also had a love for art.
And so, those were two pretty polar opposite things, but through dentistry, I get to put them together and do both, and get to enjoy both ends of that spectrum. The most rewarding part about being a dentist is knowing that if I was able to just help at least one person that day, it made that day meaningful and purposeful. And knowing that what I’m doing can possibly really change someone’s life, and someone’s outlook on how they see themselves, and how they see their health.
I started four years of undergrad at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where I’m from, and then four years of dental school in Kansas City. And since then, I spend my time really trying to keep up with the latest trends, latest technology, latest procedures, recent experiments, and really trying to make sure that I’m able to provide the most up-to-date well-rounded care. I also am looking into and participating in continuing education courses to expand on what I’m already capable of doing or adding more tools to my tool belt. And I also hope to go on a mission trip sometime soon to be able to provide services to those who aren’t able to receive care in their area.
